March 24th, 2022: 1-Stop Security Card Rates Change Notice
Over the past year, 1-Stop has made a substantial investment in its Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC) and Access Card products. These investments include improving security and protection for our users, making the application process simpler, and providing better tools for our business users to manage their employees.
Improvements to security to protect applicants’ personal information
- Secure, multi-layered infrastructure, password protection, and reset password options to protect applicants’ personal information.
- Protection from spam, malicious users, and automated software attacks.
- Role-based permission control to protect admin and user level access.
- Rigorous security testing for vulnerabilities in the system and its connections to internal & third-party platforms.
- Infrastructure upgrades, ensuring compliance with E8 cyber security requirements.
- Upgrading to secure connections with our partners, ensuring individual users can continue using a simplified application process.
- Integrating regulatory requirements into a simplified application process.
- Easier, safer login screen for businesses and individual users.
Easier for individuals to submit applications
- Simplified application process giving administrators and applicants clear information/guidance (even when they make mistakes).
- An increase in the range of file formats and sizes for users to easily upload documents when making an application.
- Streamlining selection criteria that best reflects an applicants’ situation (i.e., visa situation, citizenship status).
- Increase visibility for applicants through the application process.
- Simplified application process giving administrators and applicants clear information/guidance (even when they make mistakes).
To ensure 1-Stop can continue to improve the quality of our Security Card products and services for the Australian port community and transport industry, effective from 1st May 2022, price adjustments will be applied at the following rates:
