We are excited to announce that our new API Programme is about to commence.
Our announcement cements our commitment to innovation, as we continue to develop state-of-the-art solutions for the Australian Ports Community.
With the increased rate of digitalisation in the industry, we understand the need for an easier, more secure way to access our services, as well as real-time data that moves the supply chain along.
With this in mind, we have created the 1-Stop API Programme to provide the industry with ways to increase efficiencies and optimise current processes. Port Community participants and their Technology Systems Providers will be able to access supply chain information and integrate with existing 1-Stop services more easily.
How the API Programme works
The 1-Stop Application Programming Interface (API) is a way for an application to interact with other systems in real time. It is a fast and secure way to exchange data between systems. In short, it will pave way for seamless interaction between 1-Stop products and other software systems!
The Programme will be launched in phases, with the first set of API’s being made available later this year. It is expected that our API program will at a minimum cover the following services.
- Information / Data
Data exchange between parties
1-Stop is already a key connector between parties in the Port Community. For parties looking to securely and privately exchange data or even for the data to become openly available, 1-Stop will provide an avenue for data exchange as part of our API programme.
- What is an API?
APIs or Application Programming Interface is a way for an application to interact with other systems in real time. It is a fast and secure way to exchange data between systems.
- When are the APIs going to be made available?
The API Programme will be launched in phases, with the first set of APIs to be made available by Q4 2019.
- How can I test the APIs?
A test environment and API documentation will be made available prior to the go live date for each API.
- How much are the API’s going to cost?
Each API will be priced separately and will be charged either on a per call or per web push basis. More details will be made available as each API is launched.
- Who can use the APIs?
Systems Providers, Road Carriers, Freight Forwarders, Importers, Exporters, Terminal Operators, Shipping Lines, Depot Operators, and any party to the Australian Supply Chain will be able to access and use the APIs. Users will need to be registered with 1-Stop.
- Where can I request for new APIs to be built in the future?
Should you have specific requests for data or API requests, please feel free to send us an email through firstname.lastname@example.org. We are excited to collaborate with the industry for this initiative!
There’s more – Let’s co-create an API!
While we work on our own APIs that can help your operations, we are open to working with you on specific requirements that you may have. We are excited to collaborate with the industry in developing new ways to connect the community.
Drop us an email on email@example.com and we’ll get in touch with you.
