I was excited a few weeks ago when I was finally able to tell you that we’d soon have Adelaide on-board. You’d been asking for their data for years and we were on our way to giving it to you.
Today however, I’m not so excited. And this is because I have sad news for you: our expansion into Adelaide has been postponed until further notice.
Why? We would have been able to go ahead and give you Adelaide data if the managers of the Adelaide terminal remained as DP World Australia. However in a statement released by Flinders Ports this week, the terminal is under new management. Since we don’t currently have an agreement with the new managers, we’re unable to launch as planned. What does this mean for you?
It’s “business as usual” - the 1-Stop Gateway and ComTrac won’t have Adelaide vessel schedules or container events. You won’t be able to use our 1-Stop Gateway to lodge PRAs or the VBS to make slot bookings. Payment for Adelaide storage won’t be possible in ComPay.
I understand if you’re disappointed with the news. I am too but I’m still hopeful. Stay tuned for updates on any possibilities still to occur.
